This project was such a joy to be a part of. The client had a beautiful vision for her home and we loved helping her dream home become reality. The goal? To transform a cookie-cutter home into an elegant and sophisticated abode that leaned into European sophistication.

As you approach the home, you are greeted by a stunning arched, glossy black door adorned with un-lacquered brass hardware. Once inside, the foyer is covered from head to toe in decorative molding, which truly sets the tone for the entire home.

The beautiful kitchen takes an unexpected and modern twist to the traditional paneling seen throughout the home. The cabinetry is clean and simplistic with integrated finger pulls. We love how the traditional lighting and brass and stainless steel range add just enough formality and juxtaposition to the other modern features in the kitchen.

This dining room is a corner of perfection. The paneling continues into this quaint space and is adorned with a show-stopping alabaster and antique brass pendant. We couldn’t imagine a more perfect setting for hosting intimate dinner parties with friends. Cue the candlelit dinner for 04!

Allow us to continue drooling over this beautiful dining room, as we point out a few more special details. The white oak herringbone floor is a stunning feature and we love that it is inset into a rectangular border. This is one of the few times we recommend straying away from an area rug. Who would want to cover up that beautiful craftsmanship?
As you exit the kitchen, you’ll find yourself in this stunning living area. As you may have noticed, the paneling is still making a moment here, but in a more subtle way. This tiny switch helped achieve a more casual and inviting feel, which was important for this space. Of course, the star of the show in this room is the beautiful, chic fireplace. She’s curvy and delicate, but subdued and approachable.

The primary suite is another space where you’ll see the beautiful herringbone flooring make an appearance. This flooring runs throughout the entire primary suite and is transitioned into a stunning marble checkered floor in the primary bathroom. Keeping it classic and sophisticated, polished nickel plumbing plays well with the other cool-toned materials in this space.

Although we’ve landed on a lot of the big picture wow moments throughout the home, it’s only fitting to call attention to the little details as well. Notice the juxtaposition of curves on the doors, door hardware and the arches you see in the space paired with the straight lines of the molding and herringbone floor. This type of juxtaposition throughout the whole home is really what makes her such a treasure trove of beauty.
